Orlandi Creates Eco-Designed Doses For Parfums Caron

After the success of its scented hand gels, Maison Caron is offering them in a new nomadic gesture: eco-responsible single doses, imagined by the sampling specialist Orlandi.

Rose, vetiver, narcissus… Caron’s hand sanitizing gels offer refined fragrances. “A new perfuming ritual that mixes the useful with the pleasant” , according to in-house perfumer Jean Jacques.

Orlandi has developed single-dose formats, practical for travel or discovery. Called V-Shapes, they have been eco-designed: made of mono-material polypropylene, they can be thrown away with recyclable waste.

“It’s a preview for a perfume brand,” explains Céline Bonnier – Da Costa, the group’s marketing and digital director. Until now, this technology worked very well for cosmetics but required the use of complementary materials for perfumes. The difficulty was therefore to create a sufficiently tight barrier to accommodate and preserve the alcohol from the perfumed gel, without having recourse to aluminum. “Beyond responsible waste management, these monodoses guarantee almost total restitution of the volume of product they contain, and therefore a premium user experience for customers ,” says Céline Bonnier – Da Costa.

But by the way, why are they called V-Shapes? Because they have a V shape when you fold them. And that’s how you release the product, simply, with one hand.

Caron’s hand gels are available for sale in boxes. As for these eco-designed monodoses, they will be offered as samples to customers. They are not reserved for women only, since the latest men’s Love me as I am and the emblematic Pour un Homme have also been released in scented gels.
